The idea to start Speak Up Therapy Solutions, PLLC started when 2 speech pathologists saw the need for another way of providing speech and language services to the community of Freeport. Speech and language therapy is vital to both children and adults with impairments to their speech and language skills, whether they be developmental or acquired.

Stacey Hicks. M.S. CCC-SLP/L is the current owner and provider at Speak Up Therapy Solutions, PLLC. She has a Master of Science degree from Northern Arizona University as well as an Assistive Technology Graduate certificate from the same University. She has lived in the Northern Illinois area all of her life and received her Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Illinois University. She currently resides in Freeport with her husband and 3 children.

Stacey’s passion for the field of speech language pathology started in college when she realized what a gift it was to be able to help people perform the most basic human right, speak, whether with verbal or augmentative means. She is highly trained in AAC and has a passion for working with all ages to obtain independence using speech devices or improve their verbal communication skills.
